COMPENSATION:

PURPOSE: The Group Fitness & STUDIO Team Lead is responsible for delivering an enriching VASA experience by providing an inclusive, accessible, and up-to-date fitness experience while optimizing STUDIO and Group Fitness utilization.
You will ensure the achievement of STUDIO and Group Fitness KPI's by enhancing active STUDIO memberships/class counts and increasing Group Fitness participation.
The GFSTL will design and manage competitive, trendy, and convenient class schedules adhering to VASA's scheduling standards.
Furthermore, the GFSTL will ensure that members and guests enjoy an exceptional experience through lively classes that inspire, uplift, and foster a sense of community.
DELIVERABLES Recruiting and Staffing:
Recruit talented individuals to maintain well-staffed schedules with suitable instructors and coaches to drive club traffic and member engagement.
The GFSTL actively sources talent from VASA employees, VASA members, and local community members. They are accountable for recruiting top talent for all product trainings and new programs.Achieving Results, Maximizing STUDIO/Group Fitness Usage:
Collaborate with the GM to evaluate the performance of the STUDIO/TEAM and Group Fitness areas. The GFSTL ensures performance targets and KPI's are met or surpassed.
They enhance STUDIO and Group Fitness attendance by managing class counts, coaching instructors on boosting attendance, providing product education in collaboration with other team leads to direct members to suitable classes, and attending classes for assessment and guidance.
Club schedules, local/national trends, and club traffic are reviewed to maintain competitive, trendy, and convenient class schedules. Schedules are adjusted quarterly to accommodate seasonal changes. The GFSTL proactively identifies issues and provides solutions to drive business growth. They also manage operational expenses while upholding the member experience. Deliver A World-Class Member Experience.The GFSTL ensures prompt reporting of equipment and technology issues, maintains clean and safe STUDIO and Group Fitness spaces, and flawlessly executes playbooks, VASA initiatives, marketing events, and programs.
Through ongoing training, mentorship, interdepartmental communication, and follow-up with instructors and team leads, the GFSTL ensures that programming meets playbook and SOP standards. They address challenges promptly.
Trains, Coaches, and Supports Ongoing Instructor Development:
Lead by example, embody enthusiasm for VASA's core values, build trust and strong relationships with Team Members. Conduct instructor evaluations by actively participating in classes. Offer feedback and coaching that stimulates commitment and ongoing growth.
Conduct quarterly STUDIO RED trainings and regularly teach classes to set an example and emphasize safe and effective teaching practices.
Work to retain and nurture a pool of talented STUDIO/TEAM Coaches and Group Fitness Instructors.Organize practice sessions for instructors and coaches to enhance their skills and provide immediate feedback.
Delivers Care and Creates Connection:
Ensure members and guests enjoy a superior experience through vibrant classes that motivate, uplift, and build community. Collaborate with GM to address member and guest concerns about these programs. Approachable, professional, engaging, and offering excellent customer service by promptly addressing member needs and concerns. GFSTLs are Champions of enthusiasm and passion for the STUDIO/TEAM and Group Fitness products. GFSTL fosters a culture that aligns with our core values and promotes accountability.
