    My client, a leading Insurtech, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Habitational Underwriter to join their dynamic team.

    As a leading Insurtech company revolutionizing the insurance industry, they are committed to leveraging technology and innovation to provide superior coverage and service to their clients.

    This position is located in the Midwest territory, with a focus on underwriting Habitational properties including Condos, Apartments, Duplexes, Complexes, Retail, and Real Estate in the admitted market.


    Responsibilities:

    Underwriting Expertise :

    The Senior Habitational Underwriter will utilize extensive knowledge and experience in underwriting Habitational properties and LRO Properties in the admitted market to evaluate risks effectively.


    Risk Assessment :

    They will conduct thorough risk assessments, analyzing property data, loss history, market trends, and other relevant factors to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.


    Portfolio Management :

    The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of accounts, including new business, renewals, and endorsements while ensuring profitability and growth objectives are met.


    Relationship Management :

    They will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide exceptional service.


    Market Intelligence :

    The Senior Habitational Underwriter will stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape to make informed underwriting decisions and identify opportunities for business expansion.


    Qualifications:

    Experience :

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting Habitational properties or LRO Properties in the admitted market, with a proven track record of success and accomplishment.


    Technical Skills :
    Strong technical underwriting skills, including risk assessment, pricing analysis, and policy interpretation, are required.

    Analytical Abilities :

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound underwriting decisions.


    Communication :

    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate underwriting decisions and negotiate with stakeholders, are vital.


    Education :
    A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, or ARM are a plus.
