    Our team of UX Researchers guide design partners and cross-functional teams to Client, interpret, and act upon insights and opportunities with a persistent focus on the best possible experience for the customer.

    We contribute to all phases of product development, and influence product and business strategy while we're at it.

    In this role, you'll be an integral part of the Focus Categories team within the Buyer Experience division, focusing on two largest categories:
    Motors (vehicle parts & accessories) and Refurbished.

    Your research will also extend to our Value-Added Services (VAS), which include offerings like tire installation, brand authentication, and product assembly.

    You'll collaborate closely with the Motors/Refurbished/VAS and Buyer Experience teams—encompassing design, business, product, engineering, and marketing on a global scale—to create user experiences and products that resonate with our customers.


    What you will accomplish:


    Collaborate with cross-functional teams as you define research questions, devise the methodological approach, and conduct timely, insightful research across the product lifecycle.

    Own the full spectrum of user research, including planning, execution, synthesis, and dissemination of findings to inform product development.

    Partner with product and design teams to translate research insights into actionable product improvements and ensure user needs are central to decision-making.

    Identify and prioritize impactful research opportunities in collaboration with the research lead and stakeholders within the Motors, Refurbished, and Value Added Services teams.

    Lead and manage vendor/agency research projects, coordinating with external consultants as necessary to achieve project goals.

    Employ storytelling and workshop facilitation to share research insights, fostering a culture of empathy and action-oriented decision-making within the team.


    What you will bringExperience:
    4-7 years in UX Research in a corporate or consultancy setting working with Fortune 500 companies. Consulting experience is a plus.
    Master's or PhD in Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, Human Factors, or related field.


    Proven Impact on Product Strategy:
    Demonstrated success in influencing product strategy through actionable UX Research insights

    Comprehensive Methodological Skillset:
    Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and experience applying them across the product development cycle, from discovery to launch

    Design Thinking Acumen:
    Knowledgeable in design thinking practices and processes with experience in workshop facilitation

    Outstanding Communication:
    Strong communication skills with the ability to advocate for user research with executive leadership, as well as product, design, and business partners

    Critical Thinking:
    Highly adept at navigating complex issues within ambiguous environments, demonstrating the capacity to lead initiatives with minimal supervision

    Team Collaboration:
    Comfortable working in large, cross-functional teams dispersed across offices and regions

    Global Research & eCommerce Experience:
    Prior experience in eCommerce or global research is beneficial. German language skills are a plus, but not a requirement.
