- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Manage daily production schedules, prioritizing tasks to meet customer demands and production targets.
- Communicate maintenance issues to the Production Manager and Maintenance Department for timely resolution.
- Address quality concerns and product functionality issues during production and inspection processes.
- Monitor material usage and waste, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs.
- Complete detailed production reports, including daily shift summaries and data entry of completed production.
- Oversee basic human resource duties such as timekeeping, vacation approvals, and employee evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, promoting a culture of workplace safety.
- Collaborate with other departments to satisfy customer needs and resolve production-related issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager or other appropriate management personnel.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
- Associate degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience within a fast-paced manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively multitask in a dynamic environment is essential.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous.
- Proficiency in basic math and reading skills, as well as basic computer skills, is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.
