    CORPORATE PROCESS ENGINEERING MANAGER - Injection Molding


    Position SummaryA local manufacturing group is seeking a Corporate Process Engineering Manager to oversee all Injection Molding tooling, process parameters, and product formulation across their range of product lines.

    Ideally, this would be a role for someone who is a Subject Matter Expert in high volume, high tonnage Plastic Injection Molding and is ready for the next stage of their career.

    This is the forefront Process Engineering position leading all molding technical engineering for an extremely well-respected manufacturer of large Injection Molded components.

    Automotive industry or very similar experience is strongly preferred.

    If this sounds like you, this will be the opportunity to mentor and will share your expertise with technical and operations staff at remote plants and work on improving yield, throughput, and physical characteristics on highly visible, mission critical components.

    You will be a key part of product development specs and test criteria.

    You will be involved in cross-functional teams, and will interface with customers, outside vendors and agencies to ensure new products (and product improvements) meet customer expectations, physical performance criteria, and agency regulations (when applicable).

    You will have a seat at the table for all Senior Leadership decisions as they relate to manufacturing, and opportunity for further responsibility with success - if you desire.


    Essential FunctionsThe Corporate Process Engineering Manager serves as the chief technical resource for processing, material, and tooling initiatives throughout the organization.

    The Corporate Process Engineering Manager develops solutions to existing product performance opportunities and generates product performance improvements.
    The Corporate Process Engineering Manager shares expertise with plant technical and operations staff to improve processing parameters.

    Work closely with plant technical and operations staff; as well as additives and equipment suppliers to improve material blendWork with plant staff to optimize process parameters, process centering, implement SPC and/or 6-sigma methodologies to statistically monitor process control.

    Analyze equipment and tooling to determine whether a robust process exists and implement changes if needed. .Assist in conducting plant trials, building prototypes, etc. during product development phasesWork with outside/3rd party listing agencies to ensure products follow requirements.

    The Corporate Process Engineering Manager will be heavily involved with training and creating standard work instructions or SOPs for plants around the country.

    Position QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or similar technical degree (or equivalent years of experience with on-target experience).7 years of well-rounded plastics industry engineering experience.4 years of Tight Tolerance, High Speed, Medical Injection Molding experience4 years of experience working with Injection Molding equipment hands-on, on the plant floor.

    You should understand the results of various material changes and how they will impact both the processing and physical properties of the product.

    Experience working with regulated products, high cavitation molding, and extremely high-volume manufacturingPrefer experience obtaining certifications from agencies
