Job Description We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to define and drive the product roadmap of Quantum-Si's next generation protein sequencing platform. The role reports into the commercial team. A successful candidate will have an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial work ethic. This person will work closely with market development, marketing, sales, service, and R&D. As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be to: Product Strategy, Roadmap, And Requirements
    • Define and execute the product strategy, product roadmap, and product requirements for new instruments, reagents, and software for Quantum-Si's next generation protein sequencing platform.
    • Analyze and assess markets and prioritize which markets we target
    • Work closely with market development, marketing, sales, and service to understand market requirements and trends and creates a business case for these requirements.
    • Synthesize ideas on strategy, planning and execution of next generation of platforms. Building consensus and driving execution.
    • Work closely with R&D to ensure market product requirements are properly prioritized on the product roadmap, and successfully implemented in the product design and development.
    • Develop and execute tactical plans
    Product Pricing and Operations
    • Lead pricing strategy for all products and services based on competition, cost analysis, and what the market will bear.
    • Ensure pricing enables field sales success by determining optimal catalog pricing and provide guidance on appropriate level of discounting
    • Set pricing, part numbers, BOM, and monitor margins along with Operations
    • Manage existing product lines, increasing profitability and setting of Profit and Loss goals for each product/product line.
    Product Positioning
    • Perform deep-dive competitive analysis and market analysis on all products and services to properly define pricing, positioning, and messaging and successfully differentiate Quantum-Si's products from the competition.
    • Train commercial and company on value proposition, positioning, and messaging to create a consistency across the organization
    Product Launch, Maintenance, and End of Life
    • Manage entire product lifecycle.
    • Launch new products and assign go to market priorities with key stakeholders
    • Maintain communication with key customers at Centers of Excellence and Beta sites to drive successful testing of new products, and communicate customer feedback to R&D.
    • Establish metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
    Qualifications Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:
    • Bachelor's degree (Masters or PhD degree preferred) in life sciences or engineering
    • 5+ years of product management experience for life science platform companies in proteomics, molecular biology or DNA sequencing markets.
    • Strong technical understanding of proteomic and/or next generation sequencing workflows (preference for both).
    • Experience defining, launching, and maintaining life science platform solutions inclusive of instrument, reagents, and software.
    • Experience working with functional departments in sales, marketing, service, assay development, engineering, and software development.
    • Experience gathering customer/market feedback and effectively communicating technical user requirements for assay, software, and instrument product roadmap.
    • Strong time and project management skills.
    • Thrives in a startup, rapidly growing, company environment. Can pivot when necessary and stay positive.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, great computer skills.
    • Take initiative and have a strong growth mindset.
    • Ability to travel 25%
    • Located or willing to relocate to Branford, CT or San Diego, CA.

    The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $130,000 - $195,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual's skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
