    Summary You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (CUSTOMER SUPPORT) in the CUSTOMER SUPPORT DIVISION; INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT of SUPSHIP GULF COAST.

    Responsibilities You will serve as Customer / Technical Support Specialist within the IT Department supporting command users with workstation, desktop application and peripheral support and troubleshooting.

    You will submit helpdesk tickets as requested by command users and work assigned tickets as disseminated by leadership.

    You will assist IT Department team members with network patching as needed, advanced peripheral support and deployment, and administrative support related to technical input on standard operating procedures, desk guides, user training briefings.

    You will monitor performance metrics to optimize working environment.

    You will troubleshoot hardware and software problems using remote tools, gather and analyze factual data and communicate conclusions and recommendations.

    You will conduct analysis and recommend solutions to resolve complex system and application issues.

    You will deliver a full range of customer support services, including presenting formal and informal training to users relative to assigned systems.

    You will keep abreast of state-of-the-art IT developments and makes recommendations to address trends and new technologies in order to meet user and program needs as well as compliance requirements.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical guidance to end users with workstation, desktop application, or peripheral support to identify, troubleshoot, and recommend solutions to information technology issues.

    Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas:
    attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
