    The Prince George's County's Office of Human Resources Management is seeking qualified applicants to fill a Compensation Analyst II position, grade 21, within its Office of Talent Management & Acquisition, Classification and Compensation Division.

    About the PositionAs a Compensation Analyst II, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the County's Classification and Pay Plan.

    This position requires a keen understanding of business and financial acumen, as well as strong data literacy, to analyze various data sets.

    You will be responsible for benchmarking positions against market data, preparing and maintaining job classifications and salary scales, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.


    Examples of WorkWhat You'll Do:


    Plan, coordinate, and perform tasks related to maintaining the County's Classification & Pay Plan Benchmark positions against market data to establish competitive compensation ranges Prepare and maintain job classifications and salary scales Gather and analyze data from compensation surveys Conduct individual or departmental classification reviews and recommend appropriate classification and salary ranges Communicate best practices for employee hiring, training, compensation, and evaluation Conduct data and cost analyses for employee negotiations and policy implementation Provide guidance on applicable state and federal employment regulations pertaining to compensation Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to assess compensation survey results Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing compensation analysis findings and providing recommendations to stakeholders Maintain and update the County's salary structure and scalesQualificationsWhat You'll Need:Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources/Personnel Management, Organizational Development, Business/Public Management, Psychology, or closely related field; and at least one (1) year of professional experience in Human Resources.

    DURATION OF ELIGIBILITY :

    After enrolling in the County's benefit plans, employees may only make changes to the plans either during the open enrollment period, which occurs annually (usually each October), and/or during the year, due to a family status change (i.e., marriage, births, divorce and adoption).
