    Duties * Responsible for the review of any and all aspects of assigned Security Assistance programs regarding individual work and assigned team members.

    * Detects problems, ascertains causes, makes on-the-spot recommendations and decisions, provides guidance to team members and other applicable employees, agencies, foreign customers, etc.

    * Reviews all cases, modifications, and amendments of cases, and all other active suspensions completed by team members * Identifies and resolves comprehensive logistics problems affecting effective case management for all aspects of assigned Security Assistance Programs involving the complete variety of vehicle/weapon systems and vehicle repair parts * Personally states and manages most complex case requirements * Accomplishes case management through personal effort and/or by coordinating efforts of other managers * Serves as the Security Assistance representative at conferences and meetings with representatives from other directorates within TACOM, PEOs, other organizations such as AMC, DA, foreign countries, and other services.

Specialized Experience GS-11 : One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Gathering information for logistics activities in support of security assistance programs; 2) Coordinate logistics support for integrated logistics support elements throughout the life cycle of the system (e.g. production, transportation, product assurance, acquisition, etc.). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

    D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.


    OR Combination of Education and Experience:

    A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

    To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

    Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18.

    Add the two percentages.

    OR GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Gathering information for logistics activities in support of security assistance programs; 2) Coordinate logistics support for integrated logistics support elements throughout the life cycle of the system (e.g.

    production, transportation, product assurance, acquisition, etc.); 3) Prepare case requirements utilizing the Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS) and/or Weapon System Commodity management experience involving Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and/or procurements and logistical support.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).


    Time in Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
