    SUMMARY:


    Tandy is seeking a Merchandise Planning & Allocation Manager with strong data analysis, retail merchandise planning & allocation experience to partner with the finance, merchandising, and retail teams.

    The Merchandise Planning & Allocation Manager is a new position for the Company and will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory allocation for our 100+ fleet of retail stores including replenishment, seasonal and promotional product implementations, regional items, mark-down and other category initiatives to drive profitable sales growth.

    The successful candidate will have a "roll up your sleeves" mindset, will be collaborative, analytical and a problem-solver who will embrace the opportunity to learn all aspects of the omnichannel retail business.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
    Allocate all product to all stores including new, promotional, replenishment and end-of-lifecycle products to optimize sales and gross profit against inventory investments

    Create plans that deliver against financial goals, including the optimal level of inventory by store and overall
    Take into account consumer use/demand for products, regional differences, store feedback, interrelationships between products
    Create scalable processes that use system automation where possible and that include a cross-functional calendar and timelines

    Collaborate closely with Finance, Product Management and Retail teams to understand the consumer behavior, the overall product hierarchy, our short-term and long-term financial targets, and our long-term growth initiatives
    Recommend promotional strategies in coordination with Marketing, Retail and Product
    Develop analytics and reporting on the following:

    Product and product category level performance, store, regional and total company level performance
    Trends vs prior year, plan and forecast; work with Product Management to develop product and product category forecasts
    Unit and dollar sales, sell-through, sales-to-stock ratios, gross margin return on inventory investment
    Participate/lead product performance and buy reviews; make recommendations based on analysis and insights that align with financial objectives


    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
    5-7 years of retail merchandise planning & allocation experience
    Strong analytical experience
    Must be highly skilled with Microsoft Excel and Power BI or demonstrated ability to learn with experience on other analytics platforms; SQL skills are a strong plus
    Highly collaborative, with ability to work in partnership with all levels of the organization
    Strong written and verbal communication skills with both external and internal business partners
    Thrive in high-energy and fast-paced office environment, subject to quick turnaround situations
    Ability to organize work and manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines with minimal oversight
    Strong business acumen
