Job Summary:
Working under the Associate Director of Inpatient Nursing Services, the Medicine Clinical Practice Coordinator (MCPC) will facilitate coordination between multidisciplinary teams caring for the inpatient medicine patients to ensure exceptional outcomes.
They will provide clinical expertise and staff education regarding acute concepts pertaining to the care of the medicine patient population.
The MCPC will lead and/or assist with system wide medicine initiatives as identified by the director. They will demonstrate the ability to sustain effective relationships with Nursing and other interdisciplinary colleagues.The MCPC demonstrates comprehensive quality nursing care and will assist the medicine service team to deliver best-practice/high quality care, meet regulatory standards, certification, and accreditation.
They will collaborate with the Medicine Shared Governance Committee regarding evaluation and interpretation of quality metrics to identify and implement quality improvement processes as well as streamline and improve care across the continuum.

NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible), Masters degree in Nursing and a minimum of three years post licensure acute care Medicine RN experience required.
