    Position Overview
    Ralph Lauren is seeking a Digital Photography Technician for our digital studio in Long Island City, NY.

    The Digital Technician will join a team of photographers and digital technicians, working closely with a team of stylists and product coordinators in a fast-paced, high volume, studio environment.

    The DT primarily handles on-set file workflow in Capture One, color corrections, file outputs, as well as traditional Photo Assistant duties such as set setup and teardown, and camera setup.

    The DT will also be called upon to assist in some post-production responsibilities in regards to file management (but not retouching).

    This position has a close working relationship with photographers and art directors and requires a positive on-set presence.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities


    • Excellent on-set communication and teamwork skills
    • Handling Capture sessions and maintaining redundant backups
    • Set up of photo studios - lighting set ups, set builds
    • Using ticketing management software to assure all assets are processed correctly
    • File management and file delivery to workflow standards
    • Technical troubleshooting
    • Partner with software and hardware vendors to support operations
    • Assessments of equipment / future planning
    • Maintain photo equipment and organization of studios
    • Assist Art Directors with technical needs
    • Partner with freelance team members to assure consistency
    Experience, Skills & Knowledge

    Proficient with:

    • Mac Operating System, Canon Photography EQ, Studio Lighting
    • Adobe CS (Photoshop and Bridge)
    • Capture One
    • Comfortable with lighting modifiers / flags / nets / grip
    • Understanding of safe equipment setup procedures
    • Ability to lift and move up to 49lbs and stand/walk during shifts up to 8-10 hours
