Summary

You will serve as a Emergency Services Dispatcher in the Dispatch Center of Fire and Emergency Services of MCRD ERR PI SC.

Duties

• You will provide emergency police, fire and medical services by answering incoming emergency telephone calls.
• You will properly categorize the call, determine the appropriate public safety response, and dispatch field personnel and equipment.
• You will provide emergency medical dispatching (EMD) assistance to callers using he local authority's emergency medical dispatch system.
• You will monitor status and availability of fire and medical field units to assure an appropriate response is made without the compromise of the quality of services to the public.
• You will refer non-emergency callers to appropriate civilian and governmental agencies.
• You will maintain reports and retrieve needed statistical information using the fire incident reporting system(s) as directed by local authority.
