Purpose:
We seek a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic IT team as a "Database Administrator III." Perform activities related to the day-to-day administration and maintenance of transactional databases, ensuring that the database is available and performed correctly and safely. Perform installations, upgrades and patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, monitoring, and configuration. Confer with appropriate managers regarding problems with and capabilities of databases.
Essential Functions:
Technical Leadership (75%)
Performs database administration activities.
Performs basic daily basic database tasks.
Performs security administration tasks.
Performs basic Unix/Linux administration tasks.
Installs, configures, upgrades, and troubleshoots Oracle, SQL Server, Maria, and Tibero databases in Unix/Linux/Windows platforms.
Diagnoses database performance bottlenecks and provides enhancements.
Writes SQL and Unix/Linux Shell scripts.
Creates and maintains operational document procedures.
Other Duties as required.
Project Management (25%)
Manage an extensive portfolio of projects, tasks, issues, and systems.
Manage projects from the initial requirement to the completion stage, ensuring appropriate documentation and completion.
Conduct/Lead formal project meetings with the team, other departments, and customers.

Education / Required Skills:
Oracle Certification (OCP) is preferred.

Salary Range: $90,000 to $105,000 per yr. + an outstanding benefits package.
