    Position Summary

    The Maintenance Manager will collaborate with Plant Superintendents to implement proactive maintenance strategies, identify equipment failure modes, and optimize preventive maintenance tasks. Develop work management tools, enhance the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and foster a culture of effective proactive maintenance practices. This role will provide support to plant operations by prioritizing critical work scope, documenting corrective actions, and improving plan visibility for the Operations & Maintenance team. Direct the WattBridge Field Services team, ensuring proper procedures are in place for site maintenance and coordinating with other departments for necessary repairs. Oversee maintenance activities, review reports, and coordinate with field services and parts team to ensure timely availability of required resources.

    Position Responsibilities

    Working with each Plant Superintendent, identify and implement proactive maintenance strategies to ensure long term plant and asset goals.
    • Identify and document equipment failure modes and risks
    • Optimize and improve preventive and predictive maintenance tasks and schedules
    • Build out data analysis tools and techniques to identify potential asset risks
    • Interact with the PROENERGY Advanced Monitoring and Predictive Solutions team to optimize data collection, analysis, and reporting
    • Develop a budget for proactive maintenance activities and provide benefit analysis to implement in the five-year plan
    Develop and implement work management tools and processes to help the effectiveness of plant operations.
    • With PROENERGY, review the deployment and effectiveness of the current CMMS
    • Develop a three-year plan to improve the CMMS
    • Develop interfaces between work management, procurement, and the five-year budgeting process
    • Create a fleet wide culture of effective proactive maintenance practices
    • Develop work management packages to drive consistency in routine work
    • Develop work management KPIs and build out these measurement in the CMMS
    • Train plant personnel on use of the CMMS functionality to create a culture of work documentation to ensure work details are captured for future utilization
    • Create interface between PI, or other tools, to drive hours or counter based preventive maintenance tasks
    Provide work management support to plant operations
    • Plan and prioritize critical work scope in the CMMS based on operational and financial risk
    • Document corrective work in the CMMS
    • Build out the proactive maintenance strategy in the CMMS
    • Develop the CMMS to improve plan, cost, and schedule visibility for the O&M team
    • Incorporate safety and environmental checks in planned jobs
    • Develop a scheduling tool and process for routine work
    • Develop a maintenance and forced outage backlog of work activities
    • Provide planned outage work management support in terms of planning and scheduling jobs
    • Interface with the PROENERGY Warranty Manager to ensure non-conformance reported issues are planned and scheduled in a timely manner
    Provide direction to the WattBridge Field Services Team
    • Work with the PROENERGY Field Services Manager to ensure procedures and work practices exist for WattBridge site maintenance.
    • Interface with the PROENERGY Sedalia Depot and Houston Shop on required repairs and enhancements
    • Review borescope reports and provide recommendations to WattBridge for any issues identified.
    • Oversee any maintenance performed by the WattBridge Field Services team.
    • Work with the PROENERGY Field Services and Parts teams to ensure parts are available when needed to perform the required scope of work
    Required Qualifications
    • Five years of power generation experience, specifically focused on Work Management and Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
    • Builds strong relationships across the organization, especially with Plant Superintendents and other plant personnel, to develop work practices that are consistent, well documented and tracked for completion.
    • Direct experience with implementing a new CMMS or modifying an existing CMMS to improve functionality of the system
    • Quantitative thinker with a technical background in plant equipment operations and maintenance
    • Strong background in project finance analysis
    • Demonstrated track record in delivering internal improvement projects in a growing organization
    • Technical Acumen - will have the ability to quickly conceptualize, assimilate data, and perform analysis to make decisions and take appropriate action around complex problems
    • Organizer - will have the ability to simplify technical processes across an organization, including various reporting layers from plant and office teams to the business leadership team
    • Communicator - very strong written and verbal communication skills are required. This will be demonstrated across large and small groups of peers or superiors. Will be interfacing, training, and coaching plant personnel and senior leadership on analysis, reporting and recommendations.
    • Skilled multi-tasker - will be highly organized and able to prioritize deadlines in work-intensive environments.
    • Handles pressure - will remain focused and calm in the face of distractions and changing priorities and will have the ability to influence others to do the same.
    • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
    • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
    Desired Qualifications
    • BS degree in Engineering or a related field
    • Preference will be given to candidates with LM6000 technology experience
    • Preference will be given to candidates with ten plus years of experience, additional education, or certificates in power plant asset management
    • Preference will be given to candidates with field services experience.
    • Valid US passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
    Additional Information
    • Travel will normally be in the Houston area, about 70% of the time, to plant sites and occasionally to the corporate office in Sedalia, MO.
    • Office is located at the McHard Road office location.
    • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as necessary, especially during critical issue resolution and to achieve project milestones.
