    Come build the future with us. Interstate Advanced Materials is seeking a full-time Inside Sales Representative at our Norwalk, CA facility. At Interstate Advanced Materials, we support the professional growth of our employees while providing exceptional services to our customers. We are a wholesale distributor and fabricator of high performance plastic sheet, rod, tube and film supporting various industries including aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical, food processing, automotive, agriculture and more. Headquartered in Sacramento, CA, our family-owned firm employs over 170 employees in seven states across the US.     Summary:

    Manage new and existing customer accounts.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Have a great attitude. A positive attitude and a team mentality is vital to our success
    • Respond to customer inquiries via various mediums
    • Develop and service a customer base of repeat customers
    • Prospect and qualify new sales leads, while maintaining a well-developed pipeline of sales prospects.
    • Meet/exceed sales goals
    • Track/ update sales activity and customer information through company CRM system.
    • Planning ahead and organizing daily responsibilities to maximize efficiency and accuracy of work.
    • Develop strong customer and vendor relationships.
    • Give price quotations for our products and services with a view to maximize margins
    • Process and close customer transactions such as orders, quotes, returns, etc.
    • Correspond with manufacturers and negotiate purchases as needed
    • Industry training provided

    Requirements:

    • Inside sales experience - direct plastics experience highly desired
    • Strong phone and computer skills required
    • Must know basic math (decimal and fraction conversions)
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related experience preferred.
    • Can do, outgoing and positive attitude
