$2,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

This part time position will be working between 3 to 4 days a week (weekdays on day shift).

The Patient Driver/Transportation Coordinator picks up and delivers geriatric, frail and/or physically limited ElderPlace participants to and from their destinations in regular or specially equipped vehicles, depending upon the individual geriatric participants needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
• Successful completion of defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within 90 days of hire.
• 5 years of driving experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• 2 years of driving experience, which includes:
• Driving a large passenger van or small bus.
• 2 years of experience transporting people with special needs.
• 1 year of experience in transporting individuals with special mobility needs.

About the Team

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.

HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life.
