Job Title: Lead Advanced Practice Provider at Rush Oak Park Hospital
The Emergency Department at Rush Oak Park Hospital is currently seeking a Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their team. This role will work on a rotating 10-hour schedule alongside Emergency Medicine Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Night shifts are not currently mandatory but may be added if necessary. Two weekends (four shifts) per four-week block are required.
With an annual volume of over 47,000 patients, the Emergency Department is well-staffed with 58 hours of physician coverage and 40 hours of mid-level provider coverage daily. The newly built ER opened in October 2019, featuring 22 private rooms and 10 Fast Track treatment areas. The position offers a competitive benefits package, CME allowance, and paid time off. Rush Oak Park Hospital is conveniently located near downtown Chicago in a residential neighborhood.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at Rush Oak Park Hospital functions as a member of the healthcare team, providing high-quality care within the scope of practice. The individual will collaborate with multiple disciplines to ensure cost-effective and quality patient care. Candidates must align with Rush's mission, vision, and values, as well as meet all regulatory standards.
Rush boasts a strong team of over 400 APPs who deliver comprehensive patient care independently and collaboratively. With a dedicated leadership team, the organization aims for every APP to practice at full scope and top of license. APPs at Rush are integral members of the healthcare team, contributing to the exceptional care that patients receive daily.
