    Job Summary:

    Serve as an HR Generalist for our client engineering services division.Providing advisory support to management and employees on HR and talent matter in support of attracting & retaining the best talent for our customers. This role will report to Altair's VP Human Resources and the align with the Corporate HR team.The position will be based in Troy, MI.Mix of remote work, 1 day required in office and 1-2 days traveling to customer sites per week

    What You Will Do:
    • Manages and resolves complex employee relations matters. Conducts effective, thorough and objective due diligence on employee relations matters.
    • Responsible for Onboarding and Offboarding processes to ensure the best and brightest talent is attracted, on-boarded and retained.
    • Works closely with VP Client Engineering Services, Sales and management to improve engagement, morale, and retention.
    • Provides recommendations to Talent Acquisition and Sales for recruiting and retention of talent.
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of local, legal requirements related to daily employee management to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory & audit compliance.
    • Proactively collaborates with VP Client Engineering Services, in rolling out key HR processes - including active involvement with compensation planning (merit / annual increases), performance management, and turnover analysis/retention statistics, etc.
    • Use data to analyze and evaluate, transform data and insights into business recommendations, communicate learnings and recommendations to various audiences of all levels
    • Oversee immigration matters for foreign national employees.
    • Oversee payroll and accounts receivable process and suggest process improvements.
    • Proactively collaborates with VP of HR/ Corporate HR team, in rolling out key HR processes- including active involvement in talent matter to support employee engagement, total rewards programs, and performance management.
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of local, legal requirements related to daily employee management to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory & audit compliance.
    What You Will Need:
    • Minimum 3 years professional experience within Human Resources or related Human Resource Service function
    • Background in HR competencies: recruitment, compensation (annual merit), employee relations, performance management,etc.
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field.
    • Thought leader who generates new ideas and challenges status quo to drive continuous improvement,
    • Customer Service oriented with ability to handle difficult situations & strong personalities.
