Polk County Public Schools is looking for an adaptable, independent, and detail-oriented Dean of Students (Admin. Asst. Sch.) to join the team. Ideal applicants meet the following education and experience requirements:

Bachelor's degree in any field is required, preferably in the field of education.

In addition, applicants must meet one of the following:

• Hold or be deemed eligible to hold a Florida Professional Certificate in Educational Leadership -or- hold or be deemed eligible to hold a Florida Teaching Certificate in any subject plus provide documentation that the applicant is enrolled in an educational leadership program.
• Dean of Students helps to foster a positive, engaging and caring atmosphere, and a healthy community by providing support and leadership opportunities that enable students to flourish.
• Proactively and effectively communicates with parents. Works closely with the school administration, counselors, teachers, and support staff in providing support for Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) best practices.
