Description
The School of Analytics, Finance, and Economics invites those with legal and business knowledge to submit an application to become an instructor for FIN 270: The Legal and Social Environment of Business for the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters with the potential for recurring employment in subsequent semesters. The 9-month appointment begins August 16, 2024.

Examples of Duties
The selected candidate will teach one section of the three-credit course, FIN 270, in both fall and spring as an in-person, on-campus course. Duties include the creation and presentation of lectures, the creation and grading of assignments and exams (assisted by a TA), and to assist FIN 270 students outside of class during regularly scheduled office hours.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A candidate must have a JD. A candidate must also be proficient in applying legal principles to business issues. (Note: despite the course code of FIN, this course does not emphasize finance but, instead, more general business issues and so a candidate does not need a degree in finance.)

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates that are or have been practicing attorneys. Preference will also be given to those with teaching experience at the collegiate level.
