The Patient Access Technician (PAT) is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for ensuring accurate patient admission and registration.This intermediate-level clerical position will allow you to apply your professional service-orientation,
good judgment and independent thinking in your daily work functions.
Responsibilities
- You will assure complete and accurate patient admissions/registrations according to organization policy and procedures and regulatory requirements
- You will obtain inpatient bed assignments and processes inpatient admission,
including arm banding addressograph plate,
and completion of necessary forms - You will pre-admit all scheduled inpatient outpatients
& ambulatory patients to facilitate a smooth
& speedy admission/registration process - You will obtain direct admit information?
& enter a reservation in the computer system
& order to notify other areas - You will complete comprehensive bedside or telephone interviews with the patient relative or their representative?
To obtain pertinent demographic insurance & third-party liability information/li> - You will perform eligibility verification?
& resolve any discrepancies determine the need for financial assistance recommendation , referring to the Financial Counselor where necessary/li>
