- Developing and maintaining an effective technical team responsible for Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG) technology and development
- Leads major improvement projects; improving process and product capabilities, throughput, cost, energy, and environmental performance
- Provide technical support for all HDG units, reporting HDG process performance to Senior management, and managing/improving statistical systems that define product/process capabilities
- Developing/improving inspection and testing methods, driving functionality and performance of process models/control systems
- Fulfilling commitment to safe/healthy work environment with strong commitment to quality
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- Background in major steel mill processes and products with in depth knowledge of HDG processes and technology
- Knowledge of metal coated steel strip properties and applications
- Understanding of heat and mass transfer, combustion, chemical reactions, and equilibrium (chemistry and chemical engineering fundamentals), metallurgy of steels, etc.
