The Sales Manager will focus on building and strengthening client relationships and networks. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreates and maintains positive and professional staff and client relationships Presents the hotel in an appealing way to prospective clients by telling intriguing stories and describing available opportunities Identify and execute various strategies to increase the hotel's client base and top line revenue Conducts sales call activities and meets weekly goalsMaintains current knowledge related to competition and market conditions and effectively applies strategies to increase businessResponds to all potential leads and inquiries in a timely manner and tailors' responses to customers' needsNegotiates terms and conditions of business deals with all groups and customersDocuments all sales activities and booking in accordance with expected standardsProvides potential clients with property site toursParticipates in local hospitality and community networking eventsPerforms additional responsibilities as assigned by leadershipQualificationsCollege degree or the equivalent in related work experience Previous experience with outside salesExcellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationshipsAbility to handle stressful situations with poise and professionalism Conduct work-related functions in a professional manner
