This position is primarily responsible for the daily cleaning of work areas, offices, and buildings using janitorial supplies, removing waste, and performing special cleaning projects as assigned.
Maintains the care and repair of company buildings at the direction of the Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that the equipment is properly working. This position may require some overtime and occasionally weekend work. Ability to travel to use personal vehicle to travel to Company locations in Newburyport, MA.Office Cleaning:
Responsible for floor maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, waxing, and stripping floors.
General cleaning and dusting in office areas. Clean the kitchen, conference room and bathrooms.
Empty trash in the office and warehouse.
Facility Maintenance:
Performs building checks to assess potential problems or needed repairs.
Replace ceiling tiles and light bulbs.
Performs basic building maintenance, internally and externally.
Assesses security of company systems and assets.
Assists with equipment and furniture moves.
May be requested to provide direction to subcontractors in assigned areas by delegating tasks, as needed.
Minimum 1-year related experience working in facility janitorial and office cleaning, including some maintenance for a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
