    Description

    Provides quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to psychiatric patients and their families. Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy. Assures the deliverance of high-quality treatment to patients and their families.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment by interviewing the patient and their family members.
    • Provides individual, group, and family process and didactic therapies for patients and family members using various professional treatment modalities.
    • Develops and coordinates an individualized discharge plan for patients.
    • Identifies and assesses family and community resources to meet patients' aftercare needs.
    • Attends treatment team meetings to provide social work and case management perspective.
    • Demonstrates conduct in keeping with licensing board and Desert Parkway ethical standards.
    • Complies with facility safety, infection control and security program.
    • Documents treatment provided to patients in their medical record based on established case management guidelines.
    • Completes all reports for suspected abuse as legally mandated and consistently informs supervisor.
    • Completes Release of Information accurately and completely.

    Requirements

    • Current Nevada State licensure required (Clinical Social Worker-intern, Marriage and Family Therapist-intern or equivalent or higher)
    • Minimum one (1) year clinical work experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy and assessment-based treatment planning preferred
    • Previous experience working with active duty military, veterans, or first responders preferred
    • Maintains current knowledge of social, medical and psychiatric services available within the community
    • Displays good theoretical knowledge of psychopathology and appropriate treatment techniques of each type of therapy
    • Experience with therapeutic limit-setting helpful or an understanding of level systems or other behavior management modalities helpful
    • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
    • Skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention common to acute psychotic, serious mental health and non-violent crises intervention practice
    • Skills in conducting individual, family, and group therapy
