    Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing defense autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations for the Department of Defense (DoD) through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

    Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer responsible for designing, testing, and implementing electrical systems and components.

    You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and naval architects to develop state-of-the-art electrical solutions that meet the unique challenges of autonomous vessels on open water.

    ResponsibilitiesDesign digital, analog and mixed signal PCBs and other components along with their required interfaces using CAD tools Collaborate with internal and external customers and coworkers to establish the required functionality of electrical and electronic systems and componentsPerform the research, analysis, testing and proof-of-concepts required prior to final design Design, code, and test the C/C++ and assembly language programs required for PCB testing and product firmwareCreate test regimens, hardware and software as neededPerform full functional test of components with diagnosis of faults and modification as neededProduce documentation for the testing, fault diagnosis, and normal use of the designPerform all clerical functions needed to order components, produce parts, and establish parts in inventoryPerform product life cycle support functions such as technical support and failure analysisCreate detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts to guide the installation and assembly of electrical componentsConduct testing and troubleshooting activities to validate the performance and reliability of electrical systems and resolve any issues or malfunctionsCollaborate with software engineers to develop and implement software controls for electrical systems, ensuring efficient and safe operationsStay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering, maritime technology, and autonomous systems, and apply this knowledge to improve the design and functionality of our vesselsParticipate in project planning, provide technical expertise and guidance, and contribute to the overall success of the team and companyQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldSophisticated understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysisExperience in wire harnessing, radios, transmissions, and integrating systemsExperience in designing electrical systems for complex projects, preferably in the maritime or transportation industryProficiency in electrical design and simulation software tools, such as Orcad, Allegro, or other PCB Design SoftwareStrong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electrical systems, such as IEEE, IEC, and ABSFamiliarity with programming languages and software development practices is a plusExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issuesStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environmentAdaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with a strong drive for innovation and continuous improvement>Saronic does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other reason prohibited by law in provision of employment opportunities and benefits.
