    Director/ Associate Director - Curriculum Design and Development (Computer Science/ IT)

    II. Associate Director - Curriculum Design and Development (Computer Science/ IT)


    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to lead our Curriculum Design and Development team for IT skilling programs.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, updating, reviewing, and refining the curriculum outline and blueprint for our Computer Science degree programs.

    This role demands a deep understanding of educational requirements, industry trends, and technological advancements to ensure our students are well-prepared for the evolving IT landscape.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Develop a comprehensive curriculum outline and blueprint for Computer Science degree programs, encompassing a breakdown of subjects and syllabus for each semester.

    Ensure a logical progression of subjects from one academic year to another, aiming for student mastery in the field.

    Recommend credit systems for lectures, tutorials, and Practicals in a subject as per the academic program and degree to be offered.


    Stay Updated with Technological Advancements:
    Continuously monitor and analyze the latest technological developments in academia and the IT industry.
    Incorporate these advancements into the curriculum to keep it current and relevant.

    Subject Expertise:
    Demonstrate expertise in subjects crucial to the field, including Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, DevOps(AWS/Azure/GCP), Full stack development, and emerging technologies.
    Utilize this expertise to guide curriculum development, ensuring alignment with industry needs.

    Teaching Experience:


    Possess a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience within the Computer Science/IT department of the top 100 colleges/universities in India.

    OR
    6-8 years of experience in leading curriculum design and development in an Edtech in Higher Education space.
    Leverage this teaching experience to understand student needs and develop curricula that effectively address those needs.

    Collaboration and Leadership:
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, faculty, and industry experts to ensure a well-rounded curriculum.
    Provide mentorship and guidance to curriculum development teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

    Quality Assurance:


    Implement a robust quality assurance process to review and improve curriculum content, ensuring it meets industry standards and educational objectives.


    Travel:
    You will be required to travel across the country to colleges and universities ByteXL is partnering with.

    Qualifications:
    Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
    Strong understanding of educational pedagogy and methodologies.
    Proficiency in the latest versions of programming languages like C/Java, Scripting languages, and UI technologies like HTML5/React along with databases like RDBMS/NoSQL/Mongodb/GraphQL, etc
    Proven track record in designing, developing, and implementing curriculum for Computer Science programs.
    Prior experience in working in a product-based IT company is highly desirable.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

    Percentage of curriculum updated annually to reflect the latest technological advancements.

    Subject Expertise:

    Metric:
    Number of relevant workshops or training sessions conducted for curriculum developers.

    Progression and Mastery:

    Metric:
    Progression assessment scores showcasing student mastery levels at different stages of the program.

    Educational Quality Assurance:

    Metric:
    Percentage of curriculum content passing the quality assurance process.

    Collaboration and Mentorship:

    Metric:
    Number of cross-functional collaborations resulting in curriculum enhancements.
