    Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week) - Core Duty Schedule
    IF APPOINTED PROVISIONALLY THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST BE QUALIFIED TO TAKE THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION WHEN MADE AVAILABLE.

    FOR PERMANENT APPOINTMENT, THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HOLD THE TITLE OF SENIOR CLERK TYPIST OR MUST BE CANVASSED AND REACHABLE FROM THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE LIST.






    JOB DUTIES:
    The NYS Data Warehouse and Assessment Specialist is a key member of the Office of Data and Accountability in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, educational test results, data from various educational programs, data collected for school administration purposes and manipulation of data using standard data management software programs into various formats for reports and initial analysis.

    Work activities include but are not limited to: Prepares and distributes instructional reports from NYSED Data Warehouse for use by school and district office personnel to assist in school improvement efforts, as requested; Works directly with data teams from essential district offices and school offices to reconcile data entry errors on a weekly basis in order to satisfy mandated reporting requirements; Manages critical data flows and timelines; Corrects errors in data entry for timely submission to the NYS Data Warehouse; Maintains district developed training materials and documentation for student information system daily usage; Assists in developing new procedures and revising old procedures related to the processing of data processing documents; Responsible for the administration, technical support and account management of Computer Based Testing; Provides technical support in eDoctrina to teacher and administrators utilizing the Accountability Suite; State Assessment NYS 3-8, Regents, NYSESLAT ordering, preparation and packaging and distribution; Assists in training new and current employees on SIS operations, and use, Computer Based Testing Software management and operation as it relates to enrollment and scheduling; Keeps schools on track with deadlines, included but not limited to grades and reporting, state assessment ordering and weekly and monthly reporting requirements; Provides ongoing professional development to all school front office staff, counseling and attendance staff on elements essential to data integrity; Processes end-of-year reports as required; Must demonstrate knowledge of data entry methods, procedures and equipment; Performs other specialized clerical procedures and state reporting tasks, as assigned.
