    Job DescriptionECU HealthAbout ECU Health PhysiciansECU Health Physicians is multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina.

    Position SummaryThe ultrasound technologist produces two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by the physician in diagnosing disease and studying malfunction of organs.

    He/She modifies and delivers care that is specific to the age, growth and level of development of patients including adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

    The technologist must be familiar with all Radiologist Protocols for general ultrasound examinations.
    Minimum Requirements
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
    • Two Year Degree Required- or higher.
    • The employee must have an ARDMS registration with current certification or registry obtained within the first six months of employment.
    • A minimum of two (2) years AMA accredited program in radiologic technology or ultrasound.
    • CPR CertificationPreferred Requirements
    • Diagnostic technologist RT( R ), preferred but not required.

    • Tuesday's 8am - 5pm/Wednesday's 8am - 5pm/Thursday's 9am - 1pm
