    Overview:

    San Antonio Marriott North West Hotel is hiring a Full-Time AM Restaurant Server

    Must be available to work various days of the week, including weekends and holidays, 5:30AM - 1PM.

    This is a dual role - your primary role will be as a restaurant server but you may also be asked to assist as a barista based on hotel demands.

    We expect our restaurant servers to be Guest Service Experts, creating an experience that is memorable and unique with food and drinks on the side. Our Guest Service Experts take the initiative and deliver a wide range of services to make sure that guests enjoy their meal.

    Qualifications:

    No matter what position you are in, there are a few things that are critical to a Guest Service Experts success creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional.

    Requirements:

    • Excellent command of English: verbal, reading and writing; can effectively communicate with guest, ability to describe menu, drink items, and wine list.
    • Prior restaurant server experience required.
    • Must have exceptional customer service skills with appropriate behavior and appearance expected at a 5-Star hotel.
    • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy with a sense of urgency when needed.
    • Basic mathematical and calculator skills.
    • Ability to stand for long periods, up to entire shift; walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
    • Able to extending arms; frequent bending and stooping and ability to carry and/or lift up to 25 lbs without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance.
    • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
    • Previous hotel or hospitality fine dining server experience preferred.

    Required certifications: TABC & Food Handlers
