- Conduct nursing assessments
- Administer injections and take vitals
- Provide assistance to the psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners
- Coordinate care and medications for individuals receiving services
- Supervise Behavioral Health Nurses 1 and delegate daily tasks to other team members
- Coordinate nursing services for designated Behavioral Health programs
- Lead and manage the nursing team, including work assignments and quality assurance
- Facilitate problem-solving and act as a liaison for nursing staff comprising RNs and LPNs
- Associate degree in nursing
- Minimum of four years of behavioral health nursing experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field coupled with 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience
- Marion County will assess a combination of education, work experience, or training deemed relevant for the role

Job Title: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse at Marion County Adult Behavioral Health
Are you passionate about psychiatric nursing? Do you aspire to make a meaningful difference in your community? Marion County Adult Behavioral Health is currently looking for a skilled behavioral health RN to offer direct nursing care to adults dealing with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Responsibilities:
You will report directly to the Nurse Program Manager, overseeing the daily operations of the outpatient clinic and collaborating closely with the medical team. Your work schedule will vary based on program requirements but generally fall between Monday and Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
For individuals relocating from outside Oregon, we offer a relocation package that includes up to $3,000 in moving expense reimbursement and a $3,000 relocation bonus upon establishing Oregon residency.

Experience and Requirements:
As a safety-sensitive position, final candidates will undergo a pre-employment drug screening that includes testing for marijuana.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am
Successful candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of community behavioral health nursing practices, organizational structures of behavioral health programs, and relevant agency policies and procedures. They should possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to foster productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and other agency personnel. It's vital to note that temporary employees and part-time regular employees working less than 50% of the scheduled work week are not eligible for benefits.
This full-time position is subject to union representation and eligibility for overtime.
