Job Description
To independently assess, diagnose, counsel and treat clients, including University students, employees, and patients.
Interview, assess, and provide individual counseling to clients who are experiencing personal, social, educational, or vocational problems.
Evaluate treatment of clients and modify treatment based on specific individual's evaluation.
Collaborate with physicians and other specialists in the referral of clients.
Facilitate group therapy sessions for students with personal problems, educational problems, habit disorders, and other essential issues.
Research, design and develop educational materials relating to specific concerns about psychological health related problems.
Present in services to employees, student groups, community service agencies, and health care providers.
May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.
Shift
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in social work, mental health nursing, counseling education, psychology, or related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired.
One (1) year of clinical therapeutic experience in a medical setting.
(Note:
For some positions, three (3) years of clinical therapeutic experience in a medical setting working with a broad range of social, psychological, or behavior issues may be substituted for the licensure/certification.
At least one of the three years of experience must be post-masters.)Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range:
$49,878 - $72,259 annually
