Job Description:

Our client is seeking a CNC Machinist to be responsible for set up and often operating CNC Vertical and Horizontal Mills and Lathes, while following specifications to achieve the correct requirements for each part.

They should be able to support operators with projects and use hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform first part inspections.

A qualified Lead will have knowledge of Mastercam and the ability to edit and create programs for the CNC"s.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Set up, run, and support operations of CNC lathes and mills.
*Expert level knowledge of GD&T
*Support and edit programs as necessary to produce parts (create fixtures as necessary)
*Perform first part inspections before operators continue running parts.

*Provide departmental management duties.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
*Must have previous experience with CNC and manual machinery.
*Ability to evaluate and resolve problems as they arise.
*Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
*Knowledge of machine monitoring software (FactoryWiz)


EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years on CNC Mills and/or lathes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
*Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
