As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those in assisted living or home care settings. Your commitment will help promote independence, dignity, and quality of life for those you serve.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene.
Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings to healthcare professionals promptly.
Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning personal spaces and common areas.
Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges.
Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and assist in developing or updating personalized care plans.

Skills

Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings with a focus on senior or disability care.
Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and dementia or Alzheimer's care.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory care needs is highly desirable.
Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and group home experience are preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
