The Henderson County Finance Department is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing, accounting software proficiency, and excellent attention to detail. This role requires strong organizational skills and effective communication with employees.Responsibilities
- Process biweekly or monthly payroll for all municipal employees.
- Maintain employee payroll records including pay rates deductions leave balances employment changes overtime shift differentials comp time stipends special pay.
- Calculate process overtime shift differentials comp time stipends special pay ensure compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act IRS regulations Tennessee Department of Revenue requirements Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System TCRS prepare submit quarterly annual reports W-941 state filings etc.
