    Your RoleThe Senior Financial Analyst position (based in the Chicago office) will be focused on providing data-driven support for multiple business units within HPA.

    This includes leading and managing efforts to track agent performance, quantify the impact of various agent outreach efforts, establish volume goals for account managers, develop strategic approaches tied to new initiatives, and fulfill any ad hoc tasks.

    This analyst will also be tasked with linking all of these initiatives to the financial and acquisitional goals of the broader company.

    Projects will center around working primarily in Excel.

    Work in Excel VBA, Python and SQL will be needed for additional data collection and analysis, making basic exposure to these languages strongly preferred.

    Who You AreThe Senior Financial Analyst will be expected to provide guidance on manual work and ad hoc tasks where possible.

    They are expected to bring energy and enthusiasm as they learn more about both how the real estate market works as well as develop their technical skills.

    In addition to a strong work ethic and motivation to learn, this position requires the following skills:

    meticulous attention to detail, developing communication (both written and verbal) skills, a high level of organization, creativity, resourcefulness, and an ability to work independently and multi-task.

    ResponsibilitiesPreparing, maintaining and assisting in the creation detailed performance-tracking models, performance goal frameworks.
    Regular work in Excel, with support in VBA, Python and SQL.Regular interaction with head of business units to cross-collaborate.
    Voice opinions and suggestions on meetings with key stakeholders.
    Adapt to changing circumstances with minimal oversight as it relates to assigned marketing analytics initiatives.
    Analytics support/direction for new initiative modelling.
    Demonstrating resourcefulness by seeking out new and creative sources of information.
    Comfort working in a small team and start up environment.

    Proofread and quality control all communications and campaigns before going live, and ensure compliance to regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, CCPA and the Fair Housing Act.

    RequirementsUndergraduate Degree or Masters Degree in Analytics, Economics, Finance, Business or other relevant experience.2-4 years of experience in a business analyst role.

    Demonstrated ability to think critically and ask pointed questions.
    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, work independently and meet deadlines.
