Job DescriptionDirectly supervises employees in the Engineering department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will:

Execute the strategic vision and direction for the Engineering department, aligning with the resort's overall goals and objectivesProvide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the maintenance team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence while enforcing accountabilityImplement, train, and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and employeesAssist in managing the Engineering Department's budget, reserves and capital expenditures, P&L reviews, and forecasting expensesParticipate in the development and management of maintenance programs, procedures, and schedules to optimize the department's efficiencySupport the planning and execution of major capital improvement projects, from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelinesConduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and areas for improvementLiaison with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate efficient and cost-effective maintenance operationsManage the procurement and inventory of all tools and materials purchased and/or assigned to the Engineering DepartmentDevelop documents using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPointCommunicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal communicationsTo excel in this role, you must embody our core values of integrity, passion, and a strong work ethic.

QualificationsValid state Driver's LicenseAt least 3 years of leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented mannerMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor weather conditionsWestgate Resorts is a Smoke and Tobacco-Free workplace.
