- Serve as a trusted advocate for clients, guiding them through the Medicaid application process.
- Assist with strategy implementation and ensuring timely submission of application/documentation.
- Manage a caseload of clients, providing ongoing assistance throughout the Medicaid process.
- Collaborate with attorneys, government agencies, and community partners to gather necessary information, coordinate benefits, and advocate for clients' needs effectively.
- Maintain accurate and current records of interactions, application status and benefit approvals.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience with the Medicaid eligibility process and/or Medicaid planning.
- Strong understanding of Medicaid regulations, eligibility criteria, and application procedures, particularly related to aged and disabled populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation systems.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.
