    Regardless of role, we recognize that every member of our team is vital The Senior Accountant plays a vital role within our accounting team, providing essential support in managing the financial operations of our organization.

    The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the Assistant Controller in owning their area of accounting during month end procedures preparing accurate journal entries to produce accurate financials.

    The Senior Accountant will play a role in the organization improving effective internal controls, and ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.

    This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide valuable financial insights to improve the efficiency of the organization.

    Senior Accountant Overview
    Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Prepare journal entries accurately, with supporting documentation

    Prepare account reconciliations in a timely manner, resolving reconciling items utilizing thinking and problem-solving skills

    Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

    Learn and assist other areas of Accounting to fill in as needed

    Become a resource for other accounting members to train and mentor

    Help develop and maintain effective internal control policies and procedures

    Assist in internal and external audits

    Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting

    4+ years in accounting

    Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., Workday and Microsoft Power BI)
