Description
As an Account Director, you work directly with our clients - churches and ministries - to build relationships, think strategically, and help them gain momentum through personal, authentic and creative communications and marketing efforts.
In addition, as the Marketing Manager at Fishhook, you're a big-picture thinker - with some implementation work - eager to help the Fishhook team share encouraging and inspiring content and make new connections with church and ministry leaders.
In summary, we are looking for:
A collaborative leader who serves as the
relationship builder
between the Fishhook team and our churches/ministries. You work to humbly encourage and support church leaders, while managing priorities, workload (hours) and budgets.
An empathetic coach who will think strategically
to see the big picture, set measurable goals/objectives, develop a plan and/or consider a more thorough process for brand strategy, communications and marketing with our churches and ministries.

You will work closely with Fishhook's Business Development leader and lead our marketing efforts (with our digital presence and other in-person events).

About the Position
Account Directors serve as the relationship builder between our churches/ministries and our Fishhook team.
They nurture the client relationship as they ask intentional questions, listen, observe, understand, encourage, direct and guide our clients to new possibilities in their communications/marketing efforts.
Account Directors also act as the context-carriers for our churches and our team as they manage priorities, hours and budgets.
Account Directors at Fishhook:
Are proactive and energetic to lead meetings, guide and coach with clients
to think strategically, see the big picture, set measurable goals/objectives, know themselves and their intended audiences, develop a plan and/or consider a more thorough process for communications/marketing.
and our work with the full Fishhook team that we are providing for each client to ensure it is strategic and intentional for that specific church/ministry.

Project Managers are responsible for organizing project details, communicating with our team and guiding the tactical support we provide clients for all of our work including:
brand development/brand experience, website development, social media strategy, various campaigns, etc.
Are willing and able to help where needed.
In some seasons or with some projects, Directors may need to support our clients by helping with some project management details.
While this is not the Directors' primary role, there are times when there is a need to help with details, planning and organization.
As the Marketing Manager at Fishhook, you:
Are focused on bringing creativity, energy and value to all churches
through engaging content, events, conferences and other experiences.
Bring innovation and passion
to sharing the Fishhook story
and connecting with new churches both digitally and in person.
Work closely with Fishhook's Business Development leader
to set marketing and business development plans and goals each year
and track those plans/goals ongoing.
Guide our internal marketing team
and oversee workflows and ongoing content development.
Champion our digital marketing efforts and events to ensure they carry out Fishhook's brand experience and that we are resourcing as many church leaders as possible.

We anticipate that you would bring
5-8 years of experience
serving in one or more of the following roles:
Account manager/director at a communications/marketing agency
Communications/marketing manager or director with a church, non-profit or company
You're looking for
a full-time opportunity (40 hours/week) , with some travel that is occasionally overnight and on the weekends (could be several times each year).
In addition, you're a strategic and empathetic thinker with the ability to balance the strategic vision/possibilities along with the tactical and pressing needs of churches/ministries.
You have a good sense of managing hours for yourself and teammates to meet budget and hour requirements.You are organized and energized by managing multiple projects. You see possibilities when unforeseen circumstances arise and support teammates well through that.
You have experience and an ability to coach and connect with leaders. You respectfully probe and get to the heart of an issue and then encourage next steps for growth.
You enjoy working with content and know that messaging that is focused on the intended audience is vital Your writing is focused and flexible to hit the mark no matter the audience or communications channel.
You are a helpful editor and proofreader.You have experience and are eager to work with a collaborative creative communications team - both through our clients and with our Fishhook team.
