    job summary:
    An Assortment Planner is needed for a multinational corporation that is involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of athletic apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in the Beaverton, OR area. This role entails strategically planning merchandise, forecasting sales and inventory, analyzing data, and effectively communicating insights to support business goals in a retail environment.

    responsibilities:
  • Establish clear merchandise plans aligned with seasonal themes and profitability goals.

  • Collaborate with merchandising and business units to develop comprehensive strategies.

  • Create pre-season style plans to support company objectives.

  • Recap and analyze business performance against financial plans.

  • Forecast in-season sales and inventories on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

  • Support product forecasting and pricing processes through data analysis and actionable insights.

  • Report on forecast variance weekly.

  • Construct and maintain reporting tools for the planning team. Skills:

  • High-intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to drive toward clear outcomes with unclear paths.

  • strong organizational skills and ability to organize information.

  • Comfortable working with multiple data sources for analytical outcomes. Desired Skills:

  • Experience in a retail environment.

  • Intermediate to advanced data manipulation skills (SQL, Tableau, etc.).

  • Experience with planning packages like SAP.

  • Experience communicating with non-technical audiences. Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or semi-technical field.

  • 3-5 years of professional experience.
