    **This position requires the selected individual to either live or relocate within a reasonable driving distance to either our office in Milpitas, CA or Ann Arbor, MI. We are unable to support a fully remote work arrangement for this key position**

    We are looking for someone who will support our mission to deliver proficient, tested, and certified engineers capable of supporting KLA's customer service commitments. As the Technical Learning Director, you will manage a geographically distributed learning organization recognized by Training Magazine as a leader in the industyr. Work closely with product divisions, product support, installation, and technical support in the development, validation, and continued optimization of curriculum and certifications. This position will drive sophisticated data-driven learning approaches and technologies to provide immersive, blended learning experiences to provide a more learner-centric environment versus that of an instructor-centric type.

    Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical learning management team in developing, delivering, and optimizing premier learning experiences
  • Define strategy, processes, and technologies for technical learning to meet tool & customer availability requirements.
  • Partner and collaborate with multiple team members in a matrixed environment to design and engineer curriculum to meet product service requirements and commitments
  • Implement various learning methods, using different mediums (self-learning, instructor-led learning, supplemental materials, and interactive learning such as VR/AR)
  • Measure and monitor ongoing impact of learning strategy and operations
  • Manage an annual multi-million-dollar budget including learning assets, facilities, personnel across all learning programs to support Service financial targets
  • Proactively seek out ways to simplify processes and look for opportunities to use technology to scale and build efficiencies
  • Interact with the Learning Management Operations team for managing and optimizing all technical learning activities
  • Create and implement strategy for annual planning, budget alignment, prioritization, training delivery, and third-party resources in an ongoing and ad hoc basis
  • Project and organizational change of development of new learning programs: guides project teams and work-streams, leading progress against scope, schedule, and budget and holds teams accountable to commitments and results.
  • International travel is required (=<25%)
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • BS or MS in science or training related subject areas and 10 years of experience in delivering training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessment
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) & reporting
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple simultaneous initiatives
  • Good understanding of security solutions and technologies
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Level Degree with a minimum of ten years of experience OR
  • Master's Level Degree with a minimum of eight years of experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
