    Job Title: SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) Teacher (ASAP Start)

    Location: Buxton, ME

    Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SLP Teacher to join our team in Buxton, ME. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to students with communication disorders across the K-12 grade levels. Your role will involve assessing students' speech and language abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their academic and social success.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
    • Completion of a Speech-Language Pathology program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

    Certifications:

    • Maine State License in Speech-Language Pathology
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
    • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific communication goals and needs
    • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, targeting areas such as articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatics
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to integrate speech and language goals into the academic curriculum and classroom activities
    • Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure continued growth and improvement
    • Provide training and support to teachers and staff on strategies for facilitating communication development in the classroom
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with parents and other team members
