Job DescriptionDanfoss Van Wert is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our growing team.This position will lead quality projects engaging intercompany sites, plant operations, and suppliers leveraging problem-solving techniques to improve and sustain plant quality performance metrics.
As the key driver of quality improvements within our site, you will directly impact customers and supply base as an integral part of our business in the drive for zero defects quality performance.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Lead/support process assessments and other performance improvement activities within our site Lead weekly reviews on quality performance metrics identifying and driving improvements with the use of data analytics and problem-solving tools.
Lead monthly quality performance and project status reviews of quality projects Support/lead deployment of IATF QMS requirements within our site participating in our Internal Audit process Lead/support validation of the implementation of corrective / improvement actions across our value stream (supplier, plant, intercompany operations) when needed, to assess the effectiveness of improvements.
Support deployment of risk mitigation activities across our value stream, to proactively identify and address potential quality risks. Monitor operational metrics, and customer/supplier performance promptly to proactively address potential issues.Background & SkillsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree at an accredited institution Minimum three (3) years of combined experience in a Quality role in operations
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified lead internal auditor (ISO9001 / IATF D structured team problem-solving methods Green belt/black belt certification Expert in AIAG PPAP Production Part Approval Process Experience with AIAG Design and Process FMEA Experience in the use of SAP (ERP system) Knowledge of engineering drawings & tolerancing, standards & specifications Fabrication, machining, and assembly knowledge and experience are preferredAt Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making.
