As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
    • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, using appropriate equipment and safety devices.
    • Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, such as abnormal vital signs or potential abuse/neglect.
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective care plans.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduation from an accredited school of Practical Nursing
    • Current LPN licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nurses
    • Recent nursing practice (within past 5 years) or refresher course within the past six (6) months
    • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
    • Unit-specific certification as required, such as PALS, ACLS, NRP

    Working Conditions:

    This position involves frequent interruptions and multiple crisis situations, and may expose you to communicable diseases and hazardous materials. You must be able to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and may be expected to work on other units to provide adequate staffing.
