    This position will be responsible for helping the production supervisor run day-to-day operations efficiently. Will help establish and maintain procedures for meeting company and customer commitments, training, and leadership within area of responsibility. Ensure compliance to policies, procedures, processes, equipment (SOP's) and recommends improvement to direct supervisor. Understands the quality specification for each product being handled and trains workforce to meet and/or exceed those expectations.

    In support of cost control efforts, this role helps and resolves operation issues as well as management of support staff.


    Responsibilities:
    Provides support to the production supervisorProven ability to multitask, set and manage priorities given by the production supervisorOversee production lines as directed by production supervisorTrain new workforce and provide coaching to production associatesMaintain all appropriate paperwork and reportingCommunicate with site Management to continually address any production issues, discuss production line improvements, handle labor issues, and correct packing and machine problemsFollow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observedEnsure Good Manufacturing Practices are understood by assigned team with full complianceMaintain production line efficiency, quality, cleanliness, and safetyEnsure all associates are following safety guidelines and follow proper Personnel Protective EquipmentIdentify workload inefficiencies and recommends reassignment of tasksCorrectly track and communicate progress throughout the shiftProperly inspect product to ensure company and customer requirements are metProperly identify and timely communicate quality discrepancies, as necessaryCorrectly maintains appropriate work documentsMaintains the cleanliness and order of work areasRegular and consistent attendance and punctuality are job requirementsThe ability to get along with others and non-violence is a job requirement to consistently promote a positive team environmentPlans coordinate and mentor a diverse culture of production associates to ensure efficient usage of materials, machines, resources, and manpower to increase plant productivity in food packaging lines while maintaining a safe working environmentAchieve performance standards with regards to safety, line utilization and qualityCreate and manage the daily production shift staffing schedule as directed by production supervisorReviews the End-of

    Hourly Pay:
