- Managing the organization, retention and use of the Commission's paper and digital records throughout the agency.
- Managing the digitization of the Commission's paper records.
- Supervising mailing and records staff and coordinating staff support, reception and mailroom coverage.
- Coordinating the work of staff services personnel throughout the agency to help ensure that administrative support functions are running smoothly and making changes as needed.
- Initiating and managing contracts related to records, public hearings and mailroom equipment.
- Ensuring efficient technical and logistical support for Coastal Commission virtual and hybrid (in-person and virtual) public meetings.

Job Description and Duties
The California Coastal Commission (Commission) is seeking a Staff Services Manager I to oversee its Records, Mailing and Staff Support functions. This position will manage the agency's transition from paper to digital records, as well as the modernization of its day-to-day operations. The selected candidate will have experience with records management, will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be a strong leader capable of inspiring and guiding staff through change.

Working Conditions
The California Coastal Commission office is located in San Francisco. The California Coastal Commission is a hybrid workplace and offers telework for all employees. Telework is available for this position in accordance with the California Coastal Commission's Telework Policy and Procedures with a 2 day in-person office work week. This position requires occasional travel and ability to lift boxes up to 35 pounds.
