    The Chief Equity Officer is a leadership position within Missouri's Division of Cannabis Regulation, which was established to implement the recently passed Amendment 3 to Article XIV of the Missouri Constitution. Reporting directly to the Division Director, the Chief Equity Officer will be an integral part of ensuring the social and economic equity requirements of the new law are fully realized. This position will exercise significant independence while also working closely with other teams within the Division. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an important initiative from the ground up in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    What you'll do:
    • Communicate program equity initiatives to internal and external partners.
    • Conduct reviews to certify microbusinesses are eligible applicants and in good standing for licensure.
    • Create and promote educational programming detailing licensing process and information regarding available suppport and resources for individuals applying for microbusiness licensure.
    • Establish targeted technical assistance programming to communities impacted by cannabis prohibition.
    • Compile annual report to the public of compliance activities.
    • Supervise staff.
    All you need for success:

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Expertise in public communication to a variety of stakeholders.
    • Experience in creating programs or initiatives for public or private entities.
    • Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of supervisory experience.
    • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
    • Ability to manage change, provide program management, and achieve results.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with the public and other partners.
