    We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a growing wealth management firm. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing and maintaining data warehouses and their supporting pipelines.

    They will be adept at sourcing, analyzing, and transforming data from multiple systems to drive decision-making and reporting throughout the organization.


    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    Data Pipeline Development:
    Developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable data flow between systems.

    Data Model Design and Implementation:
    Modeling robust and scalable data models to support data collection, integration, and analytics efforts.

    Data Warehousing and Database Management:
    Managing and optimizing data warehouses, database systems, and big data platforms to support business intelligence and analytics.

    Data Quality and Governance:
    Implementing data quality, governance, and security measures to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with regulations.

    Performance Optimization:

    Overseeing performance metrics, recommending any required updates to infrastructure, enhancing data access efficiency, and constructing dashboards to deliver analytical insights and intelligence.


    Collaboration and Communication:

    Collaborating with cross-functional teams (such as data analysts, business users, and IT teams) to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business goals, along with effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical.


    WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
    Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, especially Information Systems or Computer Science

    A minimum of 5 years of experience in a data-related role (Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist etc.).
    Extensive knowledge of and experience with various data warehouse modeling techniques, especially Data Vault and Dimensional Modeling (Kimball).
    Demonstrable experience using DBT for modeling a Data Warehouse.
    Strong programming experience with Python & SQL, and version control concepts (branching, PRs, etc.).
    Significant experience with many database platforms, especially cloud-based (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks etc.).
    Experience building ELT and ETL pipelines, and able to articulate the differences.
    Good familiarity with Azure, including Data Factory and other services

    Advanced experience working with BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau etc. and their pipelines.
    Experience working as part of an Agile team following Scrum methodology - ideally with scrum master experience.

    Should be able to articulate the following concepts, along with their importance or uses: – Raw Data Vault – Business Data Vault – Dimensional Modeling – Data marts (and info marts) – Lineage.

    Willingness and ability to complete a 2-hour live coding assessment.

    Nice-to-have

    Experience working with Salesforce data
    Experience in the Wealth Management or other financial industries
    Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Atlan, git
